Why is my installation or activation date delayed?
Installation of a new broadband service typically takes 1-2 weeks in the UK, although it can be delayed by unexpected factors such as a lack of available engineers or the previous occupants leaving their service in place, or because more work is required at the property than was initially thought.
The vast majority of issues are infrastructure or property-based, and so will apply to all available suppliers. Usually, all available suppliers using the same infrastructure will offer the same potential dates for installation. The only potential way to have this date moved forward would be to reach out to your supplier directly and check if any other customers have cancelled or rescheduled their own installation.
Usually, it will be impossible to bring the activation date of your service forward. If the delay is going to cause problems, let us know and we can look at alternative internet options either in the short term or to replace your exisitng order.
