How long does it take for my first bills to arrive?

After we have completed your registrations, all of your bills and account information will be sent to you directly. We've outlined how long it should take you to receive your first bills and welcome letters for each utility.

Council Tax

It usually takes four to six weeks from the beginning of your responsibility for the property for you to receive your Council Tax welcome letter. This will be sent to you by post and should be addressed to you by name.

If we have completed your registration for you and you don't hear back within six weeks let us know and we'll follow up with your local authority to check that there haven't been any problems.

Water

It typically takes four to six weeks from the beginning of your occupancy for you to receive your initial welcome letter - this will always come by post. Water is usually only billed every six months, although you can pay in monthly instalments. This means that it can be up to six months from receiving your welcome letter that you actually receive your first bill. Once you get this bill you can set up payment on the schedule of your choice.

If we have completed your registration for you and you don't hear back within six weeks let us know and we'll follow up with your water supplier to check that registration was successful.

Energy

It can take up to six weeks from the date you become responsible for the property for you to receive your first energy bills - these will always come by post. Your first bill should come addressed to you by name and will include your options of how to pay and the estimated total for your first month of energy. Most people receive one combined bill for gas and electricity, but these can also be supplied by two different companies.

If we have completed your registration for you and you don't hear back within six weeks let us know - we'll follow up with your energy suppliers to check there haven't been any problems with the registration

Broadband, TV and Phone

Your initial order confirmation for a broadband, phone or TV package should come within 24 hours of placing your order by email. If you haven't received anything in the first 24 hours, check your spam or junk folder and then let your connections advisor know that you haven't received any confirmation.

Your first bill will come one month after your service goes live. It will detail your most recent payment and your ongoing monthly payment. Most providers let you choose between receiving these monthly bills by post or by email.
