Do I need to cancel my current internet plan before placing a new order?

Do I need to cancel my current internet plan before placing a new order?

No, you can place a new order without cancelling, If you are changing networks, for example switching to or away from Virgin Media or Hyperoptic, then you will need to cancel your service but you can do this at any time. You will usually need to give notice of cancellation, usually 30 days, and we'd recommend doing this once you have booked the activation of your new service.

If you are switching suppliers within the same network, for example switching from one Openreach supplier to another, then your previous service will be cancelled automatically. You should not request that your current package be cancelled as it may cancel your new order mistakenly.
